Mote is an important resource in New World. There are six types of Motes – Water, Fire, Air, Earth, Life, and Death Mote. They can be used to create various items in the game, such as create recipes, craft items, cut gems, and much more. But finding them could be quite a task. Water Motes
A faint essence of Water. They are used in recipes for Arcana, Armoring, Furnishing, and Stonecutting. Water Motes are harvested from Rivercress Plants. You can only harvest them when you've hit level 30 in your harvesting skill. They're commonly located near waterfalls and rivers in places like Windsward, Everfall and Springstone. Fire Motes
Fire Mote is used for creating healing potions and magical items, like the Fire Staff. They're derived from Dragonglory, a plant commonly found in Windward, Scorchstone, a burning mining node found all over the world, and Salamander Snail, a gathering resource found on curved, broken trees trunks in places like Weaver's Fen.
Air Motes
Air motes are used in recipes for Arcana, Engineering, Furnishing, and Stonecutting. There are three ways to get Air Motes in New World. You can get them from Shockbulb, a plant commonly found in high elevation areas in places like Monarch's Bluff and Brightwood, Shockspire, a boulder-like mining node found in First Light, Windsward and Monarch's Bluff, and Lightning Beetle, a gathering resource found in Edengrove.
Earth Motes
Earth Mote is a Common Tier II Essence in New World. Earth Mote can be used in recipes for Arcana, Armoring, Furnishing and Stonecutting. They're derived from Earthspine, a plant located in Brigand Pass, Monarch's Bluff, Weaver's Fen, Windsward, and Everfall, Earthcrag, a mining node found in places like First Light, Windward, and Everfall, and Earthshell Turtle, a gathering resource found in places like Ebonscale Reach, Edengrove, and Shattered Mountain.
Soul Motes
Soul Motes are an important crafting essence in New World. Players will need them to refine assorted resources such as Amethysts and Opals. The earliest method of getting Soul Motes is from Soulspout Plants. These can be found in Everfall, First Light, and Windsward. Soulspires are essential veins of Soul Motes that can be found like other ores in the game. Search Monarch's Bluff and Everfall are good locations to find them. They can also be found quite often in the southern section of the Great Cleave.
Death Motes
Death Mote is an Alchemy Resource. These items are used to craft different types of items, particularly Magic Weapons and Gemstones. The resource is found from three different places, but the primary way is harvesting it from a Blightroot. They're also found from Blightmoths and Blightcrags, but those are a bit tougher to find in the world. Blightroots can be randomly stumbled upon no matter where you are.
