In Diablo 4, your character has many stats -- some of them help you survive, while others help you kill enemies faster. There are also many utility stats that can increase your movement speed, reduce recourse costs, reduce cooldowns of your skills, and more. So in this article, we’ll explore all Diablo 4 primary stats and explain how they impact gameplay.

The game has four Core Stats: Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, and Dexterity. You get different starting stats based on your class:

  • Strength: For each additional point of Strength, players receive +1 to armor.
  • Dexterity: It provides an additional chance to player’s dodge chance. Players receive an additional +0.025% dodge chance per point.
  • Intelligence: This is linked to a player’s resistance. For each point in this category, the player receives an additional +0.05% to all resistances.
  • Willpower: Each point in this statistic gives +0.1% to received healing and +0.25% to dealt damage.

The aforementioned core stats can be given a boost by holding on to certain items in the game. For example:

  • Leveling: Each level gives players +1 to each of these four Core stats.
  • Altars of Lilith have the ability to give players +2 to any one stat; this is an account-wide buff.
  • Items like armor and jewelry can add to these stats as well.

To check these stats, players just need to head to their character screen. There will be the stat number and the additional points players are earning from any items.
